Sperrin Secrets

Mooching around the Glenelly Valley is a favourite passtime of mine. It runs through the heart of the highest Sperrin Moutains but it is fairly untouched by development. A few farms, some modern houses and a whole lot of ancient history.

I love this shot, I can imagine standing here peeking past the Gorse bush at what was happening on this ruined farmstead 50, 100, 500 years ago.

I’d imagine that over that period of time, little changed, and then! Everything Changed.
