Army Poncho

Straddling the line between a shelter and a cape this poncho is fairly invaluable. Heavier than a normal tarp it’s tough and waterproof enough to use as a groundsheet.

Having this in the bottom of my pack means I know no matter how horrific the rain gets, I can form static shelter big enough for 1 person and a big rucksack.

In it’s normal mode as a poncho it’s an item of last resort, but if I’ve a long walk ahead in proper shitty weather this will keep the worst of the drips away from my body and pack.
